Outreach for the first wave of the “Growth Without Compromise” was focused on Northern California Print and Broadcast media including: KTVU-TV Channel 2/Fox Network “Mornings on 2,” “Five O’clock News” (three segments, 11 minutes total); KGO-TV Channel 7/ABC Network “News at Six” (one segment, 2.5 minutes), and KNTV-TV Channel 11/NBC Network “Morning News” (two segments, 5.5 minutes total). In addition, several print stories were secured including San Francisco Chronicle, Oakland Tribune/ANG, Contra Costa Times, East Bay Business Times, Alameda Journal and Alameda Sun
A year later, to Celebrate Peet’s Founder’s Day, Double Forte worked hand-in-hand with Peet’s to create and host a large-scale consumer appreciation event as part of the first annual “Founder’s Day” celebration throughout the company. People started lining up more than 4 hours before the event, and in the end more than 2,000 Peet’s-lovers came to Alameda on a Saturday to tour the plant, see hand-roasting in action, and share their love for Peet’s with the company.
