Bio:
Dan Stevens brings more than 17 years of marketing communications, public relations and event production experience to Double Forte. Dan operates from the perspective of the client, having managed communications departments for companies ranging from Internet start-ups to multi-national corporations.
Most recently, Dan was vice president at Red Whistle Communications/Weber Shandwick, where he headed the entertainment and consumer lifestyle account group and launched the event marketing practice. His client roster spanned consumer electronics to mass market branded products, including Mattel Interactive, Fox Interactive, Philippe Kahn’s LightSurf Technologies, InnoVentry and Toon Boom Technologies, among others.
Prior to joining Red Whistle, Dan was director of marketing communications at Restaurantpro.com. There, he launched the company and managed all marketing material design and production, ranging from sales collateral to trade show booths and customer testimonial videos.
Previously, Dan was director of communications at Sega of America, where he oversaw all corporate, product and brand-building communications. He led initiatives to develop a consistent global communications platform among Sega’s North American, European and Asian operations. His communications role involved executive counsel and speech writing, media and analyst relations, web site content development, customer service scripting and customer/industry event production.
Prior to joining Sega, Dan held supervisory positions in public relations agencies, where he created and managed communications programs for consumer and technology companies, including The 3DO Company, Sun Microsystems, Dell Computer Corporation, Del Monte and Seiko.
Throughout his career, Dan has pursued an interest in event production and management. He has produced events featuring George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars, Brian Setzer, Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live), Dione Sanders, Kobe Bryant, Countess Vaughn (Moesha/The Parkers) and San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
