Bio:
Lee McEnany Caraher, noted marketing communications strategist, has 19 years experience as a marketing and communications practitioner in consumer, technology and interactive business. In 2000, Lee was named one of the "Forty Under Forty PR Stars" by PRWeek.
Before founding Double Forte, Lee was president of Red Whistle Communications, an integrated marketing firm, and executive vice president of The Weber Group, a public relations firm -- both subsidiaries of Weber Shandwick, at the time, the world’s largest public relations firm.
During her time at Weber Shandwick companies, Lee managed staff up and down the West Coast, in Boston and in London. She directed and orchestrated marketing and communications strategies that drove many acquisitions and several IPOs.
Before joining Weber Shandwick, Lee was Sega’s North American vice president of corporate and consumer communications. At Sega, she oversaw corporate and product public relations, consumer relations, corporate and marketing events, and sega.com, and was company spokesperson for North America.
Lee joined Sega from Manning, Selvage & Lee/LA where, as vice president, she directed Sega’s business. Previously, she was vice president at The Bohle Company, a Los Angeles-based communications firm specializing in technology and consumer electronics.
Lee launched her career on the East Coast with Cone Communications and The Weber Group.
In her spare time Lee serves on the Board of Directors of Community Gatepath, the largest non-profit agency addressing the needs of disabled infants, toddlers and adults in San Mateo County.
Lee holds a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College in medieval history, which she finds useful every day. She lives on the Peninsula with husband Peter and their two energetic young sons.
