Jonathan Poretz
A 20+ year veteran of both public relations and broadcast industries, Jonathan has brought a wealth of consumer and media experience and expertise to Double Forte, since he joined the firm in 2005. Over the years Jonathan has launched and represented companies ranging from small start-ups to internationally recognized brand names.
Most recently as a director at Connecting Point Communications (CPC) in San Francisco, Jonathan oversaw programs for several consumer technology clients. Prior to joining CPC in 2004, Jonathan headed up west coast operations for D S Simon Productions, a New York-based provider of broadcast PR services. In that role, Jonathan helped numerous companies gain broadcast coverage through the production of Video News Releases (VNRs), Satellite Media Tours (SMTs) and B-Roll packages.
Before joining D S Simon in 2001, Jonathan was vice president, clients service at Switzer Communications, a Bay Area firm he helped build from boutique to mid-size in just over five years. During his tenure at Switzer, Jonathan oversaw all of the company’s accounts and spearheaded several award-winning creative programs.
In 1995 Jonathan led the west coast office expansion of Connors Communications. He began his PR career in 1991 at HWH Public Relations in New York.
Prior to a career in PR, Jonathan spent 12 years at the NBC television network headquarters in Rockefeller Center in New York.
Jonathan earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Queens College in New York City.
